Great holidays at Astrid Lindgrens countryside!

The cottage "Äspebäcken" is a really pittoresque and charming cottage in the middle of Smålands forests! Quite lonely, some kilometers to the next neighbour, and situated lovely at a bench of the sandroad Vena - Bjärkhult. Yet distance to Astrid Lindgrens World is just 25 km. No running water - no electricity! You get your water from the creek outside (20m) or from a dwell (100m) on the other side of the creek. You prepare your meals in the kitchens fireplace (you can even make stone-oven baked pizza). But there is also a gas stove and a gas refrigerator at you disposal to make living easier! Suitable for up to 5 persons.

Swedish Television used this cottage for the movie "Soldier with a broken rifle" after a novel of Wilhelm Moberg. The cottage is owned by the Vena society for culture preservation.

A nice little cottage with doublebed in a sleeping room and up to 5 beds on a spacy loft. Sauna and veranda and very nice life in the countryside with hens, sometimes sheep and our cat Agnes. A great place for children, they love the big trampolin! 9 km to Hultsfred and 28 km to Astrid Lindgrens World / Vimmerby. You can choose Bed & Breakfast or prepare meals yourself in the cottage's pantry kitchen.

You live in a fully renovated and quite luxurious house. It has been a stagecoach stop for mail service in the 18th and 19th century. Two sleepingrooms with doublebeds each. It's one of 4 houses in a pittoresque village, just 3 km to Hultsfred and 25 km to Astrid Lindgrens World / Vimmerby. Beautifully situated at the lake Älgsjö (=moose-lake) and at the end of a dead end street. Big garden and own trampolin.

Doublebed in sleepingroom and 2 more beds in a separate little guesthouse.
